In July 2014 one of the leading contemporary art dealers opened Hauser and Wirth Somerset just on the outskirts of Bruton. Not only does it exhibit leading contemporary art but the newly planted gardens were designed by the famous landscape designer Piet Oudolf; additionally the in-house Roth Bar and Grill is a lovely place for lunch.
